Several years ago I reached out to many business owners seeking donations to help our wounded troops that were injured or sick while deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan, and sent to the Landstuhl Military Hospital in Germany. Many businesses responded, and several others stepped forward without even being asked. Johnny Klemme was among those that helped without reservation. The fact that he donated was a testament to himself and his company, but the fact that he did so without prompting was as noteworthy as a Patriot. My sincere thanks go out to him and those that helped in this cause.

Johnny provides initiative, leadership and recruiting skills, bringing people and companies together to assist with the largest depressional wetlands still in existence in Tippecanoe area, NICHES Mulvey Pond. This diverse restoration provides buffer and cover for the many wetland, grassland and woodland bird species in migration and during the breeding season.
Johnny has opened doors to help promote NICHES new office at Clegg Memorial Garden and worked to raise money to insure that Clegg remains a local natural landmark permanently for Tippecanoe County.
